As the founder of Next Bid Auctions, Shelly Earp brings a unique blend of high-level professional discipline and deep-rooted community values to the Ocala auction scene. A native Texan from Aledo (Parker County), Shelly grew up on a horse farm where her family raised Quarter Horses. Her early years were spent in the heart of "Cutting Horse Country," with a background that mirrors the vibrant equestrian culture of her current home in Ocala, Florida.
Before fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a licensed auctioneer, Shelly dedicated nearly 30 years to a distinguished career in nursing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tarleton State University and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Walden University. This extensive background in healthcare ensures that Next Bid Auctions operates with unparalleled precision, integrity, and ethical standards.
Shelly is a graduate of the Florida Auctioneer Academy in Port Saint Lucie and a member of the National Auction Association (NAA). Her commitment to continuous education and industry excellence allows her to provide a premier auction experience for both local Ocala residents and a global online presence. When she isn't at the auction block, Shelly is a devoted animal enthusiast, caring for her four beloved rescue dogs and cats.
